Join us for Remembrance Day

At Rectory Road we are proud of our heritage, we value what it means to be British and the sacrifices the many made for the few.

Each year we proudly observer the two minute silence to remember those who have fallen in battle for the country.

Why not join us on Armistice Day this 11 November to mark the end of World War One, and to remember our brave army, navy and air force who perished for the greater good of those who live today.

Our two-minute silence will be held at 11am on 11/11/2019 – why not come and join us.

When you visit us why not take time out to view some of our items of interest namely a commemorative wall plaque that used to adorn the walls of Garswood community hall.  The memorial features the names of many local hero’s including – William Pennington, Benjamin Sutton, Albert Parr, Harold Mills, Evelyn Heaton, James A. Alexander, Nathanial Shaw, John Bramhall, John Marsh, Joseph Gore,  to name but only a few.

Our Rectory Road commemoration provides a great way to remember and whilst enjoying a free hot drink and sharing memories with others.
